What is next for Jade English?

Well, I can tell you for certain – this is not the last you will see of me.
I started my journey of ‘The Apprentice’ almost a year ago now, and, wow, what a roller coaster ride it has been.
During the past year, I have done more than I could ever have imagined possible. I ended a long-term relationship, moved to London for two months to compete in The Apprentice, moved to a new house, secured a new and exciting job in media sales, squeezed in a few holidays, made some new life-long friends, and rekindled old ones. But, most importantly, I have learnt to really believe in myself and what’s more, I now know exactly what I want to achieve in life and in business.
What am I going to do moving forward?
I still have a business idea that I am seeking investment for, so if you are reading this and like what you have heard about my business so far, please do get in touch.
In a nutshell, my business is a website that will help people secure their dream career through experiences. And funnily enough, this experience has rekindled my love for broadcast journalism – a subject I studied at University – and so I will be using my degree and Apprentice experience to pursue a career in radio and television.
In creating my blog, I have discovered that many people are struggling with day to day life, just as I have in the past.
In the pursuit of happiness, many are losing touch with themselves spiritually. Through exercise and meditation I have learnt how to combat day-to-day stress, focus, and, more importantly, how to channel positive thinking to aid success. This is a platform that I am extremely passionate about and want to utilise in order to help future generations truly believe in themselves, and go on to achieve what they want. Moving forwards, I will continue to motivate others to go out and achieve their dreams, whether this be through public speaking, social media or other media platforms.
Ultimately, my business idea is about experiences, and I genuinely feel that this is my calling in life: To help others experience as much as they can, and go on to live a truly happy and fulfilled life.
We all put obstacles in our own way, and don’t go out and chase our dreams as we are too scared of failing. But not anymore. I want to help raise a new generation that fails their way to success. Through my website, I want people to experience as much out of life as they possibly can, so they can really learn, grow, flourish and succeed with no regrets, what if’s or buts.
This is particularly true for the women in our World, the young girls fighting for their careers, often labelled with the word ‘aggressive’ instead of ‘ambitious’, or told that they are ‘bossy’ instead of possessing great leadership skills. Gender equality may have come a long way, but certainly not far enough.
So, watch this space, as over the next few months I am going to seek investment in my business, whilst securing as many opportunities with broadcast platforms to discuss these topical issues. I will not leave this world without making a difference.
Finally, I want to thank you all so much for your support throughout The Apprentice, it has been more than I could have ever imagined and I truly hope that I have made all of you proud. This process has been one of the toughest, yet one of the most rewarding of my life, and I feel so privileged to have been able to share it with you.

  • Bit nervous to post this but my amazing friends have reassured me that you should never been ashamed of your experiences that got you to where you are now!
Last year, I achieved a lot of things I’d always dreamt of. Yet, I felt like I was on this never ending rat race wheel, once finally achieving goals, quickly forgetting how far I’d come and looking for the next thing to accomplish. Nothing ever felt enough, my ambition was killing me. My striving for more and more, constantly left me feeling dissatisfied, never living in the now, always looking for the next moment in life, the next best thing, the next pay cheque.

I decided to take a month to explore myself, explore the world, and find out what happiness actually looked like to me, find out what it meant to be content in that given moment, not wishing for the next thing or thinking I could always find a way to improve the now. I headed to India to live with monks without the influence of my ‘normal’ life around me.

It was tough, no internet, no contact, no luxuries but something within me changed. I think I actually started to accept myself for who I am.
I’m not going to pretend like I had some sort of magical life changing epiphany and don’t still have days where I wonder what the hell is going on, but what I am truly grateful for, is the time it gave me to sit back, consciously evaluate what was important to me, what my values were and the direction I wanted my life to head in.

Off the back of it, I realised the importance of communication and came home and set up my own podcasting company, to help people communicate (which I adore), took a step back from the false reality of social media, learnt how to say no to things I didn’t want to do, and started dedicating more time to loved ones.
I’m excited (and nervous) to share the full short documentary with you but I hope you, a friend or a family member gain something from it. I’ve learnt it’s ok sometimes to feel lost in life, and life isn’t always a straight line, it’s ups and downs but that’s what makes you alive.
Thank you to everyone who was a part of this journey, the people 100% made it and I am truly grateful from the bottom of my heart✌🏻
